Supersync for Instagram Reels – With Supersync, Instagram is currently testing a feature that was adopted 1:1 from TikTok. Thus, the app creates videos for Reels almost without user intervention. This means that users can select multiple photos and videos when creating reels, which Instagram will automatically match to the added song. This should prove handy for some trends where users previously needed instructions. But the feature also means easily created reels of content for businesses that have lots of photos and now want to get in on the short video trend.
In this article, we’ll introduce you to Instagram’s new test feature, Supersync, which is designed to simplify the creation of reels. Instagram is currently testing a new feature that many users can already access. The new feature is very public and maybe some of you have even seen it already. The feature is called Supersync and is intended for Instagram Reels. Users can use the feature to select multiple photos or videos and a song to go with them, and Instagram will create a reel that is automatically tailored to fit the selected song. The feature could be a gamechanger for many users, because not everyone wants to create such elaborate videos for their reels. Also, many users still use Instagram mainly for their photos. However, with the help of the feature, you can now also automatically convert some photos with a song into a short video, with which Instagram finally picks up all users.
Critics of the U.S. social media group complain that the new features only serve to maintain its own market position. As TikTok in particular continues to turn the social media landscape on its head, Meta is increasingly adapting the features of its Chinese competitor. Already the emergence of the Reels feature, represented a pure copy of the TikTok app and more and more features fall victim to imitation by Instagram. While TikTok still offers the more comprehensive tools for editing and sharing content, Mark Zuckerberg’s team is leaving no stone unturned to upgrade more and more. People are busy trying and experimenting. The Supersync feature will make it extremely easy to participate in current trends, allowing you to participate in topics that would otherwise require an extensive introduction. For entrepreneurs, that simply means created reel content and the chance to gain more influence with less effort.
The progress Meta is making on updates to its Reels feature continues to grow. Although TikTok is ahead among younger users, Meta is doing everything it can to outmaneuver the competition. But the Covid 19 crisis in particular seems to have catapulted TikTok to such an extreme that it is impossible to imagine social life without it. It almost seems as if the app has always been around, and its meteoric rise is viewed in the West with either interest or suspicion. Among the most downloaded apps, TikTok is the only non-Western one and thus represents the exotic among social media channels. Some experts believe that TikTok will even prevail for a longer period of time: Demographic characteristics determine the success of a development. Market research has shown that the majority of Instagram users are between 18 and 34 – Which is young, but far surpassed by TikTok: The main target group on ByteDance’s platform is well under 18. This means the chance to shape tomorrow’s consumers and condition them ideally. No wonder, then, that Meta is using all its might to avoid sharing Myspace’s fate.
To prevent Meta from losing its grip, the company wants to deliver more and more features and upgrade as much as possible. Neither Meta nor ByteDance give each other anything and try to win the favor of the users for themselves. Especially in times where TikTok has surpassed the traffic of the global tech number 1 Google for the first time, they leave no stone unturned to maintain and expand their position. Regardless of whether Meta or ByteDance prevails: Instagram Reels and TikTok are becoming more and more alike and keep trying to outdo each other with new features. Malicious tongues say that soon you won’t be able to tell the two apps apart. The release of Supersync will certainly not silence these voices.
The social media market will continue to be in upheaval in 2022, and the corporate war will gain a new intensity. The general decrease in attention span means that the trend is moving away from text content and normal videos to short videos. Companies copy and buy each other and everyone tries to get a piece of the pie. TikTok is considered the “kingmaker” among apps because no other social media provider offers such a quick way to fame. A 15-second video can get you 60 minutes of fame. The aforementioned low attention span of today’s generation, demands quickly consumable entertainment and quick dopamine hits. This development doesn’t stop at content creation either: the Supersync function on Instagram already takes a lot of the creative work off your hands and you have useful content that helps your account with little effort. Also, companies that have a lot of photos and want to participate in the short video trend can now create reels much easier with the feature.
It is not yet known when exactly Supersync will be rolled out to all users. When the time comes, we will of course let you know. With this feature, Instagram once again responds to TikTok. At the moment, the apps are in direct competition and try to convince users with the help of various features. However, TikTok is currently still more popular among younger users. Who will win the competition in the end or whether both apps will become completely identical over time remains to be seen.
