Respond to tweet with video

Twitter Reactions – For many, Twitter is a platform that primarily provides up-to-date content and offers the opportunity for discussion in threads. Of course, users can also share photos and videos, but other platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and of course YouTube have taken up the cause of video content. Twitter now seems to want to follow suit. The company is testing Tweet Reaction videos that could soon fill the platform. Learn more in this video.

Twitter tests Tweet Reaction Videos

In this article, we’ll introduce you to a new feature from Twitter that lets you respond to a tweet with a video. Additionally, we’ll show you an important design change that Twitter is also testing. Twitter is the platform when it comes to breaking news. The company has been trying to establish more and more video content for quite some time now, because users still prefer YouTube, TikTok and Instagram for video content. Thus, the new feature that is currently being tested by Twitter is also a video feature.

Inspiration from the competition

The new test feature is called Tweet Reaction Videos and was announced via Twitter Support. The feature should be familiar to most TikTok users, because on TikTok you can already reply to comments with a video. Instagram also recently launched a similar feature with Visual Replies. Now Twitter also wants to follow suit and is testing the function for iOS.

Tweet Reaction Videos - Video content is becoming increasingly important

If you already have access to the new feature, you can use it by clicking on the Retweet button and selecting “Quote Tweet with reaction”. For your reaction, you can then either record a video or use a photo. Now that even Twitter is focusing on video content in the future, this once again shows how important short videos will be for social media in 2022.

Twitter upgrades

In addition to the new Reaction feature, the Twitter support account announced yet another test. The feature we’re talking about here is meant to make it easier for users to post tweets. The new Tweet Compose Bar is placed above the navigation menu in the app and is designed to make composing tweets easier and less time consuming. This test is also intended for iOS users and is currently in the BETA phase. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when both features will be rolled out further.
