Create and edit Gambio page
How to create a content page in your Gambio Shop
Creating a Gambio page to be able to provide it in the footer – that’s what this screencast episode is about. How to get to the Gambio Content Manager, create an “About Us” page and display the page in the store front-end footer, we explain in this Gambio tutorial.
Create Gambio page - How to do it
A common online store includes not only categories and items, as we created in the Gambio blogs before, but also certain content pages. At least the legal texts are mandatory for your online store if you do not want to be warned. Therefore, in this Gambio blog article, we will explain to you where to find the content section in the administration area.
We’ll go into presentation and into the Content Manager for that. There, next to the Content Manager heading, you can already see a three-part subdivision system. The pages represent content that can be accessed on their own. The store brings here a whole selection of predefined pages, which have their own purpose, e.g. terms and conditions, imprint, right of withdrawal & sample withdrawal form and the like. We’re going to create an “About Us” page right now as an example to show you how to create pages in general in Gambio. For the sake of completeness, however, let’s go through the other two tabs, like the Elements tab. Elements are components of another page. Among the pages that use multiple elements, the main one is the home page of the store, as well as the content Right of Withdrawal & Sample Withdrawal Form. That is, here you can e.g.. also edit your header and footer. Article contentsalso called article content, can be assigned to an article as an additional download. This is suitable, for example, to be able to offer PDF instructions for a product for download. So that can be done in this section.
When creating the Gambio page pay attention to the correct page type
Let’s go back to the pages and add another one to the info pages – namely our team page, which we call “About Us”. You can first decide whether this will be created as a content, link or script file page. After that, the selection for the teaser slider that will be displayed on the content page can be made. For the exact designation, one language must be selected, or can then be filled in for both languages. We call all three fields the same in our case, but you can vary that. Theinternal name stands for the name that is displayed in the Content Manager, the title stands for the name with which the content page can be called up in the store and the heading can then be seen on the page itself as a heading. The main field is the content editor, with which you can create content as usual, whether text, whether image, everything can be implemented here. Either in the editor or as html text.
Details for your page
When you are done with that, you can add downloadable material to your page. This can be e.g. make sense for the pages of the right of withdrawal. For our team side rather less. Otherwise, all other fields should be self-explanatory. For the optimal design of the Meta Description and Meta Title we recommend our Gambio SEO video, which we have linked above right. Inclusion in the sitemap makes rather little sense for us if we want to make the team page accessible only on our site, but not indexed in Google. If you want to completely block the page from search engines in the robots file, then check this box. At the end, you can add a picture for the social media, which can then be used for example as a link to your website. if you would use the link on Facebook. With the save, this page should then also be found directly in the footer, if you have also set your page to sichbat, which is also the case with us.
