Custom Instagram link stickers now for everyone?
In our last Link Sticker update video, we reported that some users can now also customize the text for the sticker. Now Instagram has officially launched this new feature and an additional color feature for all users. The roll out of the new feature was done via Twitter. There, in a tweet dated Dec. 6, 2021, they wrote: “Heads Up – You can now customize the text and color for your links in Stories”
This also changes
If you haven’t had this feature yet, it’s finally available now. Users can now decide for themselves what color the sticker should be and what info or call to action, such as “Watch Video” should be added. The color can be changed by simply tapping the sticker. These two new options could make users even more likely to click on the sticker, as it now points to the specific added value or content of the landing page. The color adjustment could additionally ensure that the sticker stands out better from the background in the story and is more likely to be noticed.
Custom Instagram Link Stickers Instead of Swipe-Up - A Review
Instagram’s Link Sticker replaced the Swipe-Up feature in October 2021, allowing all users to share links in their Stories. Previously, it was not possible for many users to share links in your Instagram Story, as you needed at least 10,000 followers to use the feature. Instagram responded to the complaints from the Instagram community and introduced a feature with the link stickers that everyone could now use. Although the majority of users were very happy about the update, there were also some who were not completely satisfied with the new design. For example, it was criticized that you could only see the domain in the link sticker and no individual text. Instagram then tested individual link stickers with some users and is now rolling out the feature to all users after this test phase. Through the update, Instagram once again shows that they take criticism from your community seriously.
