How to schedule your live streams on Instagram

The new Instagram feature
On Twitter, Instagram announced that it will now be possible to schedule live streams and even up to 90 days in advance. In the future, live streams can also be announced via feed post. Through this post, followers who don’t want to miss the stream can activate a notification. Before the stream starts, users will then receive a reminder that the stream will start shortly. Instagram is introducing the feature so that as many followers as possible can join in on a livestream, which is often not the case with unannounced livestreams.

Pre-schedule Instagram Livestream - How to do it
Go into Story Mode by either pressing on your profile picture or swiping left from the Home Feed. From the Story mode you can go to the Live Stream mode, where you will find the new feature on the left, which is displayed as a calendar icon. Press the calendar icon and enter a title for your stream. Next, you will set a start time and date. Here you can plan up to 90 days in advance. Now press “done” and then select “schedule a live video”. Now you can share your planned stream with your community by creating a feed post for which you choose an image and write a caption. Now press Share and you’re done. In addition to the new feature, there should be another update in the coming months that will give the option to check camera settings and exposure before a stream. This way, users can prepare themselves even better and make sure that everything runs to their satisfaction.
