Use Instagram link sticker without 10K followers

How to use links in your Instagram Stories from now on

Instagram link stickers are now available for everyone. Previously, it was necessary to show 10K subscribers for the Swipe Up link to be able to place it in the story. As of now, just about anyone can add links to the story. You can find out who still has to wait for the feature in our video.

Here's what Instagram Stories has been like so far

In the past, Instagram only allowed users with 10,000 or more followers to link to an external website in their Story. For a long time, users criticized this limitation, because the majority of users on Instagram have fewer followers. Now Instagram has finally responded and introduced a new link sticker available for all users. On your blog, you announced, “We’ve heard from the rest of our community that they also want to share important things with their friends and family. Whatever you like, from cooking to volunteering to shopping, you can now share it in your Stories – regardless of your account size.”

However, there is one exception to the feature. All accounts created less than 30 days ago will not yet get access to the new Link Sticker. The same applies to accounts that have violated the community guidelines multiple times. Instagram wants to protect against misuse of the new feature in this way. So if you’re new to Instagram, you’ll have to wait a bit before you can use the new sticker. Now we’ll show you how to add the new link sticker to your story.

Use Instagram Link Sticker without 10K followers - How to do it

First create the story in which you want to insert the sticker. Now press the sticker icon in the upper right corner. Then select the new link sticker and paste the desired URL. Now you just have to press ready and your link will be inserted. Then you can adjust the size of the sticker and place it as you like. Especially for micro influencers and smaller brands, the new feature could be a game changer, because in the past they didn’t have access to the Swipe Up feature due to the size of their account. Instagram was already testing the new feature since June 2021. At that time, it was still said that it would first have to be seen how the function would be received by users. Apparently, the Instagram community received the new feature very well, which means that Instagram is finally responding to a problem for which there was no solution for a long time.
