New WhatsApp features - #1: The preview
There are always a few changes on WhatsApp. Some of these are likely to be trial and others will remain. We’ll go over the latest changes together in this article. The first noticeable change is the image and video preview. Previously, images and videos were only displayed squarely, which meant that many details were lost. As long as you didn’t open the image with a tap, there was only a small part to see. Presumably, many media were not even clicked on because users thought they had already seen everything in the preview or the image preview seemed uninteresting.
New feature for WhatsApp groups
Due to the update, portrait media is now also displayed in portrait format. A small part is still cut off, but in the preview you can now see much more or even almost everything. Media naturally takes up more space in chat histories, making this change very noticeable. The next change is in Whatsapp groups. Until now, the admin of a group could set whether the messages in the group should be deleted after a time by itself. Now the group members can also determine this for themselves, but only if the admin allows this function. You can make this setting by tapping on the group name to get to the group info, where you will find the “self-deleting messages” option. As an admin, you can control this setting by going to Edit Group Info under Group Settings. Here you can select “All participants” or “Admins only”. The group info also includes self-deleting messages.
New WhatsApp features - #3: Chat transfer Android - iOS
A super feature, which is still in development, is the chat transfer between Android and iOS. Those who switch from Android phones to iPhones have found it very difficult to take over chat histories through external apps until now. However, this is supposed to change soon, so that all chat histories including media can be transferred between the two systems. It does not matter whether the user switches from an Android to an iPhone or vice versa.
WhatsApp sticker now also possible from external
In WhatsApp, you can now install additional stickers from other regions. Sticker packs are often regionally different and are not displayed in the sticker store. However, with the new deep link feature, you can now download all the stickers. Here are a few possible links:

New WhatsApp features - #5: Voice memos at double speed
As soon as you click on a link on your phone, the download function will open on WhatsApp. Last year WhatsApp released the animated stickers and now it is possible to add animated stickers from external apps to WhatsApp. There are apps that even let you create your own stickers. And last but not least, you can change the playback speed of the voice messages. As soon as you press play, the speed appears on the right, which you can change with a tap. You have the option to hear the message 1.5 times faster or 2 times faster.
