Sweepstakes are a strategy you should stop using in 2021 to get reach on Instagram, because they bring you the wrong followers. In a sweepstakes, users follow you only because they want to win. At the latest when the contest is over, many users either flew away from you or become ghost followers, i.e. followers who do not respond to your content. Both will damage your account and in most cases will not get you anywhere.
The second strategy is to tag a lot of other accounts. In doing so, you link to many other larger accounts on a post or even in the description.
